Playing in the Dirt
Who doesn't like playing in the dirt on a mini-excavator? I love it! This was a back yard where a great deal of crumbling, ancient blacktop lived. It was completely unusable. Not only was the back yard a virtual parking lot (and not a very good one at that), it suffered from drainage issues. When it rained, it held a lot of water and seeped into the basement. It sat lower than both neighboring yards allowing water to run off from both sides into the client's yard. We put more dirt around the foundation at a slope that led any water away from the house's foundation, fixed the downspouts, removed all of the blacktop, excavated, graded, and added dirt, topsoil, and sod; as well as formed, placed, and finished new stamped steps and patio. We provided the homeowners with large, flat stones for a diy rock pathway leading from their new concrete driveway to their new stamped concrete rear patio. Now, they enjoy the backyard they imagined when entertaining friends as well as finding solitude with their dogs in their new, functional, and beautiful back yard safe haven!
